'Kavith' is a bold and edgy footwear and accessories brand by designer and patina artist, Kavith Sainaani. The shoes are an embodiment of Kavith's own fearless take on groundbreaking footwear trends on some of the finest leathers known to man.
The brand was founded by Kavith Sainaani, who’s ability to identify shoe design trends and create wearable art earned him the title of India’s first independent shoe design specialist.
The designer is well known amongst Mumbai’s elite and creates personalized offerings for some of India’s most influential fashion focused men. His sneaker brand is an embodiment of his own bold take on sneaker design and his years of appreciation for patina art on some of the finest leathers known to man.
With generic leather brands in India gaining popularity, Kavith identified the need for uniquely creative footwear styles for bold individuals that do not identify their choice of footwear with hype.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
With the growth of sneaker resale going hand in hand with the emergence of streetwear, sneakerheads across India are spending a lot of time on identifying the latest sneaker drops and putting in their bids to help them add to a respectable collection of hype-based products in their wardrobes. These discussions are usually dominated by global brands that frequently launch limited edition sneakers as either standalone or collaborative designs.
Here’s the problem - usually design and craftsmanship are overlooked when it comes to hype. We are not looking to produce styles that can be worn for an Instagram post and re-sold. The premium raw materials we use go hand in hand with intricate hand craftsmanship and sometimes, patina artwork too. Every product we create is special and is made to be worn for years at a stretch. With basic maintenance, a pair of Kaviths can last up to 5 years with daily use.
KAVITH X SOLESEARCH
In 2022, we toured the nation with the Solesearch X SteppinOut Event - SneakinOut 2.0. During the course of this showcase, we met consumers from different cities and raised awareness of our leather sneakers and boots from some of the most affluent sneakerheads in India.
KHANIJO X KAVITH LAKME FASHION WEEK
In September 2022, we partnered with menswear designer Khanijo for our very first ramp walk at Lakme Fashion Week.
Not only did we get a phenomenal response from the audience at Lakme, but our boots stole the show with immediate stylist queries following the event.
KAVITH AT PITTI UOMO FLORENCE, ITALY
The biggest and baddest menswear event of the year and it gave us so much insight into innovation in men's fashion. It was also a great opportunity to source some of the finest leathers in the world.
